Privacy Policy
This policy sets out what information this website gathers, why, and what you can do about it. It covers reviewpine.blog.
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply, and for nothing else.
Information gathered automatically. As with nearly every website, our servers and analytics log technical details on each visit: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, the referring page, the pages viewed, and the time of the visit. We use this in aggregate to see which reviews are helpful and to keep the site running.
Cookies and similar technologies
We rely on cookies and similar technologies for two things:
- Analytics — to gauge traffic and see which content people actually read.
- Affiliate tracking — when you click through to a merchant, that merchant may drop a cookie so a resulting purchase is credited to us.
Third parties whose content or links show up on this site — including embedded videos and affiliate networks — may set cookies of their own. What they do is governed by their privacy policies, not ours.
You are free to block or clear cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you from reading anything here.
Video embeds
Review pages embed video. We only load the video player once you hit play, so the video provider gets no data about you unless you decide to watch. The moment you press play, that provider's own privacy policy governs the playback.
How we use information
- To run, maintain, and improve the site
- To learn which content readers find useful
- To answer the messages you send us
- To catch abuse and protect the site
We do not sell personal information, and we run no email marketing list.
Sharing
We share data only with the service providers who help us run the site (hosting and analytics), and where the law requires it. Affiliate networks receive click data when you follow a link to a merchant — that is how commissions get attributed.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to the personal data we hold on you, request that it be corrected or deleted, or object to certain processing. California residents hold specific rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and the right to delete; we do not sell personal information as that term is defined there. To make a request, just email us.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you think a child has sent us information, let us know and we will delete it.
Data retention and security
We keep technical logs only for as long as they remain useful for security and analytics. We take reasonable steps to safeguard information, though no method of sending data over the internet is ever completely secure.
Changes
If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we will update this page and revise the date below.
